How to reach the Highlands:

Dalcross International Airport is 8 miles east of Inverness. There are daily flights to/from London Gatwick, London Heathrow, Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow and Edinburgh. In addition, EasyJet operates cheap flights from Luton.

Inverness can also be reached by train via Glasgow, Edinburgh or Aberdeen. Sleeper trains from London operate on certain days. Visit ScotRail for timetables and prices.

Car hire is available at Inverness airport and train station if booked in advance.

If you are driving up, Inverness is 157 miles from Edinburgh and 174 miles from Glasgow.
